We believe that a professional agent must do more that merely “secure” insurance on the client’s behalf. Besides determining and placing proper coverage with reputable insurance companies, we seek to innovate coverage, eliminate, reduce, or transfer risk and work closely with client management in all areas necessary to protect and preserve corporate assets.
Oakwood has been involved with numerous community, civic, local, state and national insurance associations. The agency encourages employees to devote time to these endeavors.


History
In 1989, Oakwood’s founder, Bruce L. Sogn, set out to establish a business that would allow him an opportunity to serve the community and to fulfill a need in the market place. As an independent insurance agency, Oakwood does just that.

After researching the insurance industry, he found that by becoming an independent insurance agent, he could offer a more comprehensive range of insurance products and services to his clients. By maintaining focus on competitive products, Oakwood has kept it’s commitment to service, professionalism, and the highest integrity.

Today, Oakwood offers policies from over 30 companies. By abiding by the same principles that Oakwood Insurance Agency was founded on, Oakwood offers business opportunities to highly energetic, committed individuals that posses the desire to invest in their own business. Every agent is independent functioning as part of the Oakwood team. All agents have access to state of the art tools that are necessary for efficiently running a successful insurance agency.
